Bronze Medallion (The First Step)

This is the foundational course that teaches the core principles of water rescue, judgment, and fitness.

Prerequisites: Minimum 13 years old (or holds a Bronze Star certification).

Bronze Cross (Assistant Lifeguard)

This level transitions candidates from basic "lifesaving" to active "lifeguarding." It allows you to work as an assistant lifeguard in Ontario.

Prerequisites: Bronze Medallion and Emergency First Aid (or Standard First Aid).

Standard First Aid with CPR-C

A comprehensive, mandatory first aid course required before taking the final lifeguard exam. (Note: In some Ontario municipalities, this is transitioning to the name "Intermediate First Aid", but Standard First Aid remains universally recognized).

Prerequisites: None (though 13+ is recommended).

National Lifeguard - Pool (The Final License)

The gold standard professional certification required to legally work as a lifeguard at public pools across Ontario and Canada.

Prerequisites: Minimum 15 years old, Bronze Cross, and Standard First Aid.
